Born in Osaka, Mao Omori graduated at the Music High School attached to The Faculty of Music, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and as same as University.
She is currently studying with Prof. Willem Brons and graduated master’s degree at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in June 2016.
She is also studying fortepiano with Prof. Bart van Oort in Den Haag.
She has participated in master classes, in Hamamastu, Kirishima and Kusatsu international academy and festivals.
She has won the prizes in national competitions in Japan, including International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia (gold medal).
Her debut recital was held at Osaka “Umeda Phoenix Hall” in Japan (2012).
She has performed in concerts such as “Westwijk Piano promenade”, “The Classic Live for the United Nations” and “Maison de la culture du Japon à Paris” (2014).
She got a 2nd prize and Romain d’Ansembourg Encouragement Award at the International Geelvinck Fortepiano Concours (2016).
